From STEM, STEAM to STREAM


“We need a STEM-based workforce, but yet there are many fields that are without competent people.” Children should also enjoy learning voluntarily. That’s what can I capped out from the ‘Taking kids on the STEM route’. (The Star, Education,August 13, 2017).

Going through some readings, the term STEM education (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) is a product of ‘No Child Left Behind’ had been around since 2004 and started to grow in the United States in 2006.

The Americans found out that their students were not prepared for the high-tech jobs of the future.

STEM was the original acronym that grew into STEAM by adding an A for Art.
